Over the past years, I have taught Christians a Faith-Sharing Skills course. One of the issues facing the church today is how isolated Christians can get from non-believers. In every class, I ask participants to step up into the life of a non-Christian by connecting on a regular basis. Without this positioning, we do not see results.
Here’s a way to look at it. You have a circle. Inside that place are all the treasures of relationship. Sometimes, I will pull Christians aside and tell them how much non-believers would love to sit in their circle! Sadly, for most believers, only Christians do. They have reserved themselves exclusively for those of faith. They do not recognize the potency of their presence. If only they were willing to draw others into their relational world, God could use them in thrillingly eternal ways!
As we head into a New Year, how about adding a non-believer into your world? You will be amazed at what God will do!
