Fear Not Your Dreams: Embrace the Silver Lining of Dream Chasing
Pursuing a dream can be daunting, yet powerful growth awaits those who take the leap. Fear not your dreams—while they may leave you feeling vulnerable and uncertain, they also open doors to unexpected blessings. Whether your dream is personal, professional, or spiritual, embracing the process can deepen your trust in God, reveal new insights, and ultimately lead you closer to His purpose for your life. Don’t let fear hold you back—step out in faith and discover the silver lining that dream-chasing brings.
New Digs: Digging Deeper in Faith Through Your Dreamser of Humility and Learning
One of the prayers I’ve prayed on my journey to getting published is, “What do I not know that I need to learn?” This dream has made me realize how much I still have to grow. I am fully aware that I am not enough on my own. This humility has deepened my relationship with God, helping me recognize that He is the ultimate source of wisdom and resources. I continue to pray, “What do I need from You, Lord, to make someone weak and limited like me—sufficient?”
This process has led me to dig deeper, not just in the world of writing but also spiritually. Dreams force us to confront our limitations and reach out to the One who holds the answers. And though it’s not always comfortable, this journey of learning is part of the blessing.
New Discernment: How Chasing Dreams Opens Your Mind
Though I don’t know what will happen with Soul Whisperer, pursuing it has opened my mind to possibilities I never imagined. The journey has set off a chain reaction of creativity and insight, and ideas began to flow in a way they hadn’t before. Why hadn’t that happened earlier? It took a dream—a pursuit of something greater than myself—to unlock that hidden potential.
If you’re considering chasing your own dream, don’t be afraid of the unknown. You might not realize all the good that will come from it now, but taking the first step is often what triggers a domino effect of blessings. Dreams have a way of pushing us to think bigger, to create new things, and to develop talents we didn’t know we had.
New Destinies: Trusting God to Fulfill Your Dreams
This is one of the hardest things about pursuing a dream: it requires trust. You have to release something so close and precious to your heart into the hands of God. It’s a gut-wrenching process, but it’s also deeply reassuring because God is able to notice the dream and carry it to its rightful destination.
Some of the dreams we have may not come true the way we envision them, but God’s dream for our lives will. His dream is ultimately good, and learning to trust in that plan is one of the most freeing parts of the journey. The process of letting go and trusting Him is challenging but incredibly rewarding.
Breaking Down Dreams: Finding Purpose in Every Step
One thing that kept me going throughout this process is breaking the dream down into smaller, achievable goals. For me, writing became:
- A dream of personal growth
- A dream of ministry growth
- A dream of providing materials for churches like Sandals
- A dream of offering training for churches across North America
- A dream of equipping Christians to reach the world
At each level, I was able to see progress, and every level is significant in its own right. As you consider your dreams, think about how you can break them down into manageable parts that keep you motivated. Each step forward, no matter how small, is part of the bigger picture.
Fear Not Your Dreams: Take the Leap and Trust the Process
Whether you’re dusting off an old dream or climbing after a new one, I encourage you to look for the silver lining in the process. The blessings of growth, discernment, and trust in God’s plan are well worth the effort. Fear not your dreams! Take the leap and see where it leads. God has a way of turning even the most challenging dreams into something beautiful.
